I have not-a-clue what I am going to write in this blog or if I will even keep up with it. I am making it only as an expression of the joy i experience from the little things in life. Like, for instance, my usage of the phrase "not-a-clue," which also happens to be my best friend's camp name.
The little things in life are something to be thankful for, not because the universe collided in some crazy way at one very moment to bring joy from some random happening- but because God is good and blesses us with simple pleasures suited to our heart's desires. Because God made our hearts. So, of course, he knows what they desire!
I worked at Pine Cove Crier Creek camp as a cook for the first half of this past summer. It was a once in a lifetime experience that stretched me and brought me closer to God than I have probably ever been. Through the repititious slicing of vegetables for the salad bars and moving large vats of something-or-others to and from the refrigerator, I came to realize some of the small things God would do for me during the day to keep me entertained. One day I went to have my quiet time and just had to thank God for "hips and highlighter hats." You will never be so thankful for hips until you have to use them. God really knew what he was doing when he made the female body!! And highlighter hats, well... I don't know why a neon hat can change your outlook on life--but it sure can!
